frequently asked questions

A colour palette for your home is an important choice and not one that should be taken lightly. Your choice of colours can brighten your room and make it appear bigger or can close it in and give it the appearance of cosiness. But if you go too dark, you could be left with a room that feels smaller and darker than it really is. Ultimately, your colour palette should reflect you and what you are looking for. Take some time to find the colours that work for you, decide on your primary colour, and pick those that will sit quietly in the background to help accentuate your room and its details.

If you have a smaller room in your home and you are looking for ways to make it appear bigger, we recommend choosing light colours that are more reflective to help maximise the natural light from windows. Decorate it in a minimal fashion to ensure it doesn’t appear too cluttered or full. Choosing lighter products, such as white wood or glass, will also help you boost your natural light.

An awkward window, although it can look incredible, can often pose a problem when it comes to fitting the perfect blinds. You will almost always find that an off-the-shelf blind will not work for your window, and that’s where our bespoke services work well. We have a lot of experience in working with difficult window sizes and shapes and have no doubt we could help you cover your bespoke window.

Our in-house interior design consultant Sarah has been in the interior design industry for 40 years, and during this time, she has amassed a huge range of experience by working with clients on a variety of projects. We love your involvement in our interior design process, and we need to know what you are looking for. However, if you would like to give Sarah carte-blanche on your home improvements, we are sure you will love what she comes up with. Book an appointment with Sarah today.

Our blind experts will ensure your windows are measured correctly prior to manufacturing your blinds for your windows. However, if you would like to take these measurements yourself, follow our easy guide below:

  1. Locate where you would like the edge of your blinds to sit and note down 3 width measurements – top, middle, and bottom. If you are planning on having your blinds in the recess, measure inside the window, and if you would like your blinds to sit outside of the recess, we suggest measuring between 10-15cm over the recess to prevent light-bleed.
  2. Measure from the top to bottom in three equal points across your window frame – as before, inside or outside the recess, depending on where you want your blinds to sit. Note down the longest size, as this will be your drop measurement.
  3. Give your measurements over to our team, and we will do the hard work for you!

Whether you are planning to sell your home in the immediate future or you would like to increase its curb side appeal for the future market, completing some renovations on your home is likely to increase its value. Adding feature walls, bespoke blinds and other unique aspects will not only improve the look of your home but will give potential buyers a better understanding of the potential.

  1. Give your measurements over to our team, and we will do the hard work for you!
